You’ll find rest and relaxation at the Laurels.
The roads around the cabin form the perfect venue for a relaxing walk. Or, be a little more adventurous and hike throughout the woods. Follow the trail at the side of the house to the small pond at the base of the property. Or, go further and end up at the trout-stocked creek. The adventure is up to you!
Stay closer to home and enjoy the porches – plenty of space for rocking, reading, eating, or relaxing. There is even a hot tub on the back porch! Watch the snow under the shelter of the porch and in the warmth of the hot tub. Or, grab a book from our lending library and cozy up in front of the fireplace or on the porch. You might be visited by bunnies, deer or other wildlife.
The Laurels comfortably sleeps up to 6 people (1 Q, 2 Twins, 1 Full sleeper). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need for the perfect meal. There is a gas grill on the back porch.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 8 miles away. Take a drive and enjoy the numerous scenic vistas, hiking trails, and picnic areas. The Laurels is also convenient to the Jeffersons (10 minutes), Boone (15 minutes) and Wilkesboro (25 minutes). These towns offer all sorts of dining, shopping and scenic opportunities. The Laurels is also within 1 hour of several ski mountains and the Virginia Creeper Trail – a favorite biking adventure.
